AS WE GATHER
In the quiet refuge of this sanctuary, it may be easy to forget that we live in a world that has been marred by sin, cursed by death, and filled with wickedness. And yet we know: all that can harm the people of God has been overcome by love, because God the Father has sent His only Son to love this world back to Him. It is only out of that gracious certainty – of being saved by Love – that we, too, are enabled to love and to live, overcoming evil with good. Let us rejoice this day in this love of God in Christ that has come to us, so setting us on the path to love and to life. Welcome in Jesus’ name.
