2nd Sunday of Easter

AS WE GATHER
We live in a time when banks fail, stocks plummet, missiles are fired and shooters shoot. Our own lives demonstrate our inability to control the things that matter most; bodies age, relationships wax and wane, disappointment and uncertainty are normal. But the resurrection of Jesus Christ changes the trajectory of our lives! Peter, one of the first witnesses to Jesus’ resurrection, speaks to us of the dramatic difference the empty tomb makes for you and me. He uses three words to describe the incredible difference Easter makes in our lives: imperishable, undefiled and unfading! Rejoice this day to discover, celebrate, and ‘try on’ Jesus’ lasting, certain and beautiful resurrection joy in your life. Christ is risen, indeed! Alleluia!
